Thistle

We have this beautiful yet sticky "weed" growing in our flowerbed in front of the house now some might say pull but I wonder why? You see this is sacred plant it is a medicine plant. To often we look at things as weeds something to throw away when they have great value. Take a moment and think about the things you have thrown away thinking they lacked value. That plastic bag- recycled into clothing. The old begger on the corner who is actually a Harvard Scholar who has great wisdom or the old dirty smell veteran  who come up to you asking for change. Do you look at them or look away. Afraid of eye contact means you have to acknowledge that this is a person who has feelings. But instead it doesn't look like a rose, so you chose to throw it away.
